The release of the next track from Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay is just around the corner. Titled Darkhaast, it is a romantic song featuring Arijit Singh & Sunidhi Chauhan. Wohoho! Arijit and Sunidhi in one song. If that was not enough to get you excited, the teaser of the song in the voice of Sunidhi just dropped in and we are sold.
Darkhaast is an Urdu word, that means request. The song talks about the little request, that two love birds make to each other, to never stop loving. You know the regular mushy stuff that we hopeless romantics totally crush over. Sunidhi’s voice is pure magic. Darkhaast, with melodious beats, is brimming with lyrics that will tug at your heartstrings. Sunidhi brings in her charm of her voice to the song already so awesome and multiplies it by 100. And this is just the teaser. The full song is just going to blow your minds away. Well you only have to wait for one more day as the full song out on 22nd September at 12 noon.
We got to see the song in a special screening, and we should tell you that the music video is breathtaking. The stunning gorgeous version syncs in perfectly with the magical voice of Sunidhi and Arijit Singh. We bet you will be lost in the beauty of the scenery and Ajay Devgn – Erika Kaar’s chemistry. There is a scene where they are hanging from a mountain, mid-air, in a tent, and are making out. Yep.
Sunidhi Chauhan is an inseparable part of Bollywood. She has crooned blockbuster songs including Kamli, Yaaram, Girls Like To Swing, Sheila Ki Jawani. The singer recently stepped out of her comfort zone and INTO the frame. She made her acting debut with a short film titled Playing Priya that has been released on Youtube. And she nailed it with her acting skills. Who knew she also had a budding actress hidden inside her.

Talking about Shivaay, at the trailer launch, Ajay Devgn, who has not just acted in the film but has also directed it, said “It is a family film. The action is a backdrop, but basically it is an emotional drama where a man is pushed to destroy everything possible because somebody is trying to destroy him. We had actually read an article which had happened in real life and we were moved by it, and the film has been made on that thought process. We didn’t follow it, but it was an inspiration”
Shivaay’s music has been composed by Mithoon, super famous for Aashiqui 2. The song Aag Bahe Tere Rag Me has been crooned by Mohit Chauhan, known for Pee Loon from Once Upon a Time in Mumbai and Matargashti from Tamasha.
