According to TMZ, Angelina Jolie has filed for divorce from Brad Pitt, her husband of two years, citing irreconcilable differences.
Jolie has reportedly retained celebrity divorce queen Laura Wasser, who also handled her divorce from Billy Bob Thorton. It’s not clear who is currently representing Brad Pitt, but hopefully they have kids because that tuition just got paid.
Details are currently scant, but there’s plenty to infer—per TMZ, Jolie is not requesting any spousal support and lists their date of separation as Sept. 15, 2016. And then there’s this:
She’s asking for physical custody of the couple’s 6 children. She is asking the judge to give Pitt visitation. It’s significant ...she does not want Brad to have joint physical custody ... only joint legal custody.
They also add that (per a source) her “decision to file has to do with the way Brad was parenting the children ... she was extremely upset with his methods.”
President Obama is expected to weigh in soon.
